Terms of use
Cranklytics · Last updated 27 October 2026
The short version. Cranklytics is free to use. Upload your own rides, look at your numbers, and take your data with you whenever you like. Treat the service and other people fairly, and remember the numbers are estimates, not medical or coaching advice.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Think Launcher (“we”, “us”) about your use of the Cranklytics app and the online service behind it. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Cranklytics.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough under the law where you live to agree to these terms (or have a parent or guardian agree for you). Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your login and for what happens under your account. Choose a strong password and keep it to yourself. Tell us at support@cranklytics.app if you think someone else has got in. One account is for one person.
4. Your rides and your data
- They stay yours. You keep all rights in the ride files and information you upload.
- What we may do with them. You give us permission to store, read, process and show your data to you, and only as needed to run the service, as explained in the privacy policy.
- Upload only what is yours to upload. Use files you recorded or have the right to use, and nothing unlawful or harmful.
- You are never locked in. You can download all your data and delete your account at any time from Settings, Your data.
5. Using the service fairly
Please do not: break or test the security of the service; use it to attack, overload or spam anything; copy it by automated means; try to see another rider's data; or use it for anything unlawful. To keep it fast for everyone, there are limits: up to 50 MB per file, 20 files per upload, and 500 MB of stored files per rider. We may change these limits and will say so in the app.
6. The numbers are estimates, not advice
- Estimated FTP, rider type, scores, levels, climbing, zones and every other figure are estimates worked out from the files you upload. They can be wrong or differ from other apps and devices.
- Scores place your power on a published reference table. They are not a ranking of riders, a medical measurement or a coaching plan.
- Cranklytics does not give medical advice. Talk to a doctor before starting or changing an exercise programme, and ride safely.
7. Other companies
Cranklytics is independent. We are not connected with, or endorsed by, Garmin, Wahoo, Strava, TrainingPeaks, Zwift, Apple, Google or any other company named in the app or its files. Those names belong to their owners and appear only to describe the file types and sources we can read.
8. Free to use, and paid features later
Cranklytics is free. We may add optional paid features in the future. If we do, we will show the price and what it includes clearly before you buy, and the basic features described here will stay free. Purchases would be handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms, and we would never see your card details.
9. The service may change
We work to keep Cranklytics running and accurate, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. Because things can go wrong, please keep your own copies of your original ride files; the “Download my data” button makes that easy.
10. Ending your use
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk, and we will tell you why where we reasonably can. We may also close the whole service, and if we do we will give notice in the app and a chance to download your data first.
11. Our rights
The app, its design, its name and its software belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any ownership of them. You may use the app for your own riding, as intended.
12. Responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be excluded, including the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost profits, or for loss caused by things outside our reasonable control, and our total responsibility for any claim relating to the free service is limited to supplying the service to you again. You are responsible for how you use the numbers and for your own safety when you ride.
13. Law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and the courts there can hear any dispute, except where your local consumer law says otherwise. Please contact us first, so we can try to sort things out.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Cranklytics after that, you accept the new terms.
